Social intervention with homeless people is currently changing its understanding of the phenomena and its perspective and philosophy of action. The guarantee of rights and the restoration of the life project trough empowerment, as well as all new person-centered models, allow moving towards more holistic strategies that are respectful to this group. This article presents the current status and challenges we face as professionals in social work intervention with homeless people.
